Volunteer Opportunities
The Friends of the McGaffin Carillon has opportunities for new volunteers. As we expand the programming at The McGaffin Carillon we are in need of enthusiastic volunteers to help. Would you consider giving of your time and talents to help us out?
Talking to student visitors about the bells and building
Ushers/Greeters – At our concerts greet audience members. Distribute programs. Direct audience members to the best listening locations. Know some basic information about the carillon and the building to answer questions. Assist at special receptions or fundraising events to greet and direct participants.

Office/Clerical—preparing mailings, printed programs, copying, filing
Bookkeeping/Data—Help process mail. Enter and maintain data in the donor and mailing database
Committees/Task Forces—Participate in a committee or task force to assist the board of directors or help plan a future activity or event. Current groups include finance, fundraising, programming, marketing/communications
Advisory Board—Members with specialized experience or training will periodically advise committees and the board of directors with decision making. This could include: governance, finance, engineering, fundraising, communications and marketing, social media, event planning, education, and more.
Board of Directors—Be a member of the board of directors and work to plan the future direction of the organization through strategic planning and budgeting.
